In New Orleans, an amateur wildlife trapper helped police capture a massive alligator found wandering in a residential neighborhood. Police and firefighters moved into the Algiers Point neighborhood Saturday after residents reported seeing a large alligator stalking the area. Police arrived and followed the gator from a levee to an empty lot where a crowd gathered to watch all the commotion.
Eventually the gator got tired and allowed trappers to capture it. The 7 to 9 foot gator was eventually released on the bayou where it is thought to have been born.
